The Contributor Development Partnership (CDP) is a station-centric effort supported by Public Television's Major Market Group and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

CDP's mission is to help stations create stronger fundraising practices and increase the number of prospects and contributors. A key strategy will include the development of the first-ever, system-wide contributor data reference file, which will provide unprecedented insight and analysis into the best practices in public television fundraising.

CDP is necessary to help solve the critical development issues all stations are confronting:
  • Declining prospects
  • Erosion in the effectiveness of marketing channels
  • Lack of cohesive systems or best practices

Contribute   Develop   Partner
Every participating station brings a wealth of knowledge
  • Share your best practices and expertise
  • Connect with colleagues in discussion about proven techniques
  • Help identify successful trends

All public television stations are encouraged to join and will receive actionable, timely and collaborative benefits:
  • Results of national marketing reference database of donors and metrics
  • Quarterly reports and analysis of high yield activity and shared efficiencies based on data driven approach
  • Actionable and timely data delivery to foster collaboration and reduce fundraising cost

CDP is only strong if ideas are allowed to flow. Stations will improve their fundraising by:
  • Participating in national campaigns that allow everyone to share in economies-of-scale created by this partnership
  • Implementing successful practices to realize results based on sound data analysis
  • Realizing a quick turn-around in identifying practices that work
